Need us to do all the basic work? Your dog stays with a Pro Trainer for 1 week and on the last day, we train you on what your dog has learned (90-minute turnover). This package is $1600.00 and includes an e-collar. Your dog will stay with our trainer and learn all the following:

“Come,” “Sit,” and “Extended Sit.”

“Place” and “Extended Place.” (Your dog will sit on a location that you choose, like his bed, a park bench, a mat, etc.)

“Break” Release command.

“Heel” They will walk right beside you, either consistently on your left or right side.

“Off” Stop doing an undesirable behavior.

Extended sit and place means your dog will REMAIN in the sit or place position until YOU tell them to “break” (release them).

Our Community K9 Program is a program that meets the needs of the majority of people. In this program, your dog will be exposed to mid-level distractions that you would come upon in your daily lives. Your dog will be taken to numerous mid-level distraction areas throughout their 2-week stay (examples: focus on house manners, parks, baseball games, trails, various neighborhoods, big box stores, etc.).

Our 7 Day Drop off and Pick Up is a program designed around people who don't want to leave their dog for 1-2 weeks. Instead they want to drop off in the morning and pick up in the evening daily. In this program, you will be dropping off your dog to one of our trainers (Burgaw, Holly Ridge, Leland areas ONLY) and picking up every evening. Your dog will stay with the trainer daily and learn all of the following:

Your dog must finish our Basic Obedience Package before we will teach them any advanced lessons! The Advanced Lesson package includes Extended Distance Obedience. Your dog will be sitting/downing on command from 50+ yards away from you.

This package is $400.00 and includes 4 of the following lessons:

“Heel” command: They come running, go around you and sit down right beside your left or right leg
-
“Watch” command: Stare at you until you release them. This is a good command to use if your dog is easily distracted by other dogs, balls, people, and is either aggressive or timid.

“Through” command: Your dog will go in between your legs and sit down.
-
“Stand” command: They will assume a standing position on command.

“Front” Command: Your dog will come running and sit directly in front of you no matter where they are.

"Down/Sit" in Motion Command: The dog will stop immediately and drop into a down/sit on command as they are in motion.

“Focused” Heeler: Your dog will stare at you the entire time they are walking beside of you.

If so, this specially designed, private, 1:1 program may be the best option for you and your dog. These 8 private lessons consist of our basic obedience package (4 lessons/5 commands) which will give you a solid foundation of control over your dog, just like the dogs you see in over 1 million OLK9 videos on YouTube. Then, we spend the next 4 lessons working you and your dog around other dogs/distractions in different scenarios, commands, and situations. Giving your dog (and you) the skills, tools, obedience, and desensitization that is necessary in order to put you back in control of these situations.

Is your goal to have your dog become a therapy dog? This specially designed 7-lesson course prepares you and your dog for their therapy dog testing and certification. Before we get to work, we do complete an evaluation where we discuss your long term goals while also ensuring your dog is capable of the challenge. We have had many of our former clients easily pass their therapy dog certification after our training program.

Our goal is to help you with crate training, potty training, socialization, establishing a routine, as well as puppy nipping and biting behavior. We also answer questions regarding concerns or issues you are having and are conflicted about during this crucial developmental stage. Any dog regardless of age, breed, size or temperament can enjoy and benefit from this activity. Nose work is great for building confidence in a shy dog, giving an active dog an appropriate and challenging outlet for its energy or helping a reactive dog overcome its environmental sensitivity. These sessions are private 30-minute sessions to give you and your dog a basic understanding of how Nose Work works. Generally, in these sessions, your dog will be able to start doing multiple container searches with environmental objects around as distractions. Additionally, your dog will have a firm understanding of how to conduct a proper search and to be able to properly alert the handler that a target odor has been found (paired with a reward).

Cost – $300 for 5 Lessons or $600 for 10 Lessons. *Some dogs may rapidly excel at nose work and do even more advanced searches in the sessions and some dogs may need more sessions to complete the curriculum. Nose Work is all positive and training is conducted at your dog’s learning pace for optimum results and to ensure the dog is conducting thorough and accurate searches.

This is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a very nice certificate from the American Kennel Club.
